Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has confirmed Ben Chilwell will be involved in Monday’s FA Cup trip to Doncaster Rovers.

The England left-back has struggled since last season เล่น UFABET ผ่านมือถือ สะดวกทุกที่ ทุกเวลา due to injuries and a lack of regular first-team football at Chelsea, and he has fallen out of favour under new boss Enzo Maresca.

Chilwell joine the Eagles on deadline day in a bid to revive his career. And Glasner confirmed the 28-year-old will be involved in the FA Cup trip to Doncaster Rovers.

“When we look for players in the market, Ben is always one of our main targets,” Glasner said. “He has Premier League experience and we have to see who can come in and help us immediately because we only have three-and-a-half months, it’s the end of the season.”

“He played as a wing-back under Thomas Tuchel [at Chelsea] when they won the Champions League, he can also play in a back four so in many ways he’s the right option.”

“Ben played a lot for them and then for some reason that I don’t know and I don’t care about, he didn’t play. That was the only chance we had to sign him here. Because if he was still starting for Chelsea, we wouldn’t have had a chance.”

“This is a great opportunity for him (to reignite his career). He’s got competition from Tyrick Mitchell? because he’s had a great season with us. Playing consistently at a high level. But Chilwell has been good in training, he’s fit.”

“Unfortunately he didn’t train with Chelsea in January. The team’s training is a little bit different so we have to give him time. But the plan is he will be involved at Doncaster.”
